If you are an administrator of a Facebook group, there may be instances when you want all group members to view an important post as soon as they open the group timeline.
A pinned post always remains on the top of the group timeline This approach forces group members to view the pinned post before they start posting updates of their own. Regardless of the number of group posts that are posted by group members, the pinned post always remains on the top.
Here is how you can pin a post in a Facebook group:
- ■Log onto your PC.
■Sign in to your Facebook account using your favorite web browser.
■On the Home page, under the GROUPS section in the left pane, locate and click the group's name to go to its timeline. (E.g. Tech Forum in this demonstration.)
■Once the group's page opens up, locate the post that you wish to pin.
■Once the post is located, click the down-arrow icon from the top-right corner of the post.
■From the displayed options, click Pin Post in order to pin the post in the group.
